Welcome to TEDxOxford
TEDxOxford is an annual independently organised TED event. The day-conference brings together young individuals who will hear from a collection of the world’s most interesting and remarkable minds.
But it is more than just an event. TEDxOxford is attempting to do something that has never been done before: deliver the inspiration of TED to our nation’s youth. We are guided by the notion that today’s students will become tomorrow’s leaders, and feel that it’s our responsibility to help them develop into the innovators that they will one day become.
TEDxOxford is proud to announce that its 2016 theme is 'Find X.' This wide and broad theme allows speakers to address a whole range of issues; perhaps approaching their talk as an answer to a question or problem. Or X may be seen as a frequently overlooked issue, idea or identity. We look forward to seeing you at Oxford's New Theatre on February 28th where you can #findx.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxOxford, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxOxford event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
