Our TEDx Conference will also include a talk by Ben Power, a renowned dramaturg and playwright. Since 2010, he has been the associate director of the National Theatre, a job described by the guardian as “making the National Theatre more exciting”. To fulfil this role, Ben has gotten involved with a host of exciting projects, including producing plays in unusual locations, such as in warehouses and on rooftops. He was also responsible for overseeing the National Theatre’s ‘Temporary Theatre’, a building which looks like “an upside-down red wooden cow”, staging a range of experimental shows designed to attract a younger, more diverse audience.

We look forward to hearing from him on the power of the theatre and what he has learnt from his years of experience.
